You may have seen the flyers posted around the area and wondered what it is.
It is quite normal for major events to be advertised locally with the adverts usually only in Spanish. Why this is so when the local economy relies entirely upon tourism is one of the mysteries of life. Such an event costs many 10's of thousands of Euros to stage and causes considerable disruption to local life and business.
You could be forgiven for thinking that visitors are not welcome otherwise you would expect that the town hall would make every effort to let you know what is happening and when. This is most definately not the case and you can be assured of a very warm welcome with much to see and do.
All events take place in Mogan Village. There are frequent buses from the port or you can take a taxi from the port to the village for a little over 10 Euros.
There is a timetable of the weekends events set out below.
In addition there are a number of exhibitions that have been set up specifically for this event displaying work from local artists and craftsmen including art, ceramics, sculpture and the street art normally only used for the main fiesta (Romeria) which takes place in June.
RUTA GASTRONOMICA will allow you to sample the food and drinks provided by the local bars and restaurants at bargain prices.

Welcome to Expo Mogan 2016.
The event will run on Saturday and Sunday, 28th & 29th May 2016.
The quality of the entertainment is exceptional but, not for the first time over the Expo, the band considerably exceeds the size of the audience!
Local business, residents and the musicians themselves would appear to have been badly let down by whoever is responsible for promoting this event.
